IF I HAD A DOLLAR EVERY TIME SOMEONE SAID: “MY CAMPAIGN PERFORMANCES DROPPED, FACEBOOK MUST HAVE CHANGED THEIR ALGORITHMS!”

I’d be so rich, I’d be drinking Tieguanyin Tea every single day! Even if this variety of Chinese oolong tea sells at $3,000 per kilo!

Facebook ad copy doesn’t need to be pushy and pretentious to work. In fact, credible and trustworthy win every time! Facebook ads that create meaningful conversations are extremely effective at combating ad fatigue, all while lowering conversion costs.

It’s all about stopping Facebook users from scrolling by creating an AH HA moment for them!

A campaign I’ve been running since September 2015 received 3,118 opt-ins at £0.54/lead in a recent 7-day period. With my copy, Strategyzer also sold its $2199 event tickets at an 1866% ROI. One of my clients got 3,118 opt-in at £0.54/lead in a 7-day period, and my storytelling also helped a clinical psychologist cut her webinar registration cost from $3.10 down to $1.64. What’s more, my more convincing ad copy assisted a Shark Tank company to become profitable with the most sales in a single day on Facebook.

I’VE BEEN WRITING ENGAGING AND CONVERTING FACEBOOK ADS FOR OVER 9 YEARS. THESE ARE THE KIND OF RESULTS I CAN GET FOR MY CLIENTS.

-I helped Strategyzer sell their $2199 event tickets at a 1866% ROI

-In this case study, I share how a client got 3,118 opt-in at £0.54/lead in a 7-day period

-I used storytelling to help a clinical psychologist cut her webinar registration cost from $3.10 down to $1.64

-A Shark Tank company thought their FB ads weren’t profitable, because they had a targeting problem. I helped them become profitable by using more convincing ad copy, which helped them get the most sales in a single day on Facebook.

SCROLLING THROUGH A FACEBOOK FEED THESE DAYS REMINDS ME OF A TIME WHEN I NEARLY SLAPPED A STREET SALESPERSON IN THE MIDDLE OF CHINATOWN IN KUALA LUMPUR.

Walking through a night market, stuck in a crowd of people who seemed to be walking slowly on eggshells, street vendors were hawking their wares from all sides.

To my left, “Fake watches for you!”

To the right, “Handbags for you…”

Next thing I knew, a salesman had put his hand on my shoulder to stop me. It took a lot of self-control not to slap him!

Similarly, Facebook has over 6 million active advertisers on board. And it shows!

If you’re competing with 542 other digital advertisers in the same sector, pushy sales ads are the equivalent of a digital hand on a client’s shoulder to keep the audience from ignoring you

Screaming at the audience won’t help you distinguish yourself from your competitors.

Instead, build a long-term strategy, establish your differentiators, and create credible messaging for your ideal clients. That’s what I can do for you.

I’ll help you find the right words.

Yes, we create Facebook ads, but we can’t forget we’re speaking to a human at the end of the day.

SLOW-COOKER WINNING ADS

I’m not a Mcdonalds, where 200 burgers are produced in one hour. And I don’t microwave, either. With me, you get more of a Michelin star restaurant where good ads go through a slow cooker.

Facebook ads work the same as walking into a coffee shop full of strangers. We need to think about what you can say to your customers that makes people turn their head and say: “That person is an expert!”

MY PROCESS FOR WRITING CREDIBLE AND TRUSTWORTHY ADS THAT BRING RESULTS:

1.jpg

1. Get Research on Your Brand’s Content and Primary Differentiators
What I Do:I’ll watch webinars and YouTube videos for you. I’ll read books and e-books, and actually interview my clients, because a good ad is 90% reading, listening, interviewing, and only 10% writing.

By zoning in on what makes your service or product unique, you’ll get ideas for ads that accurately represent your company and help make your brand credible.

Why I’m Doing This:
Your Facebook ads should give your readers reasons to choose you over your competitors. Without knowing your differentiators, we’d be diluting your message and actually weakening your positioning.

2. Ad Ideas and Angles: Selection by the Client

What I Do: With me, you’ll be engaged early on to make sure we don’t waste time on ad ideas or concepts that won’t be approved later by PR or legal, for example. That would be frustrating for both sides.

Instead, we’ll need ad ideas and angles to be approved by a decision-maker on your team, so that we can move forward with concept development.

Why I’m Doing This:
If I were a chef cooking for your wedding; wouldn’t you prefer I showed you a proposed menu before I started cooking? In other words, we won’t serve you chicken satay on your wedding day to have you tell me “I'm vegan, and hate the taste of peanuts!”

3. Outline: Review and Approval by the Client
What I Do: To help us stay aligned with the story and cut down on time in regards to the revision process, you’ll review an ad outline before we draft a full ad.

We’ll know in advance whether a specific storyline or a hook works for you and that the messaging doesn’t need to be adjusted

Why I’m Doing This:
Think of it as baking a sponge cake: we want to make sure you get the icing you like and I’ll ask you before I add strawberry whipped cream to the mix in case you would actually prefer raspberry.

4. Final Copy: Full Draft & 2 Rounds of Revisions

What I Do: After getting a sign-off on the ad details and messaging, you’ll get full drafts. Worth mentioning: I never work on an ad alone. Having a team member check my work means that your ads will be clear, credible, and on point.
On top of that, we’ll work with you on getting every detail right. We can go through up to 2  rounds of revisions.

Why I’m Doing This:

You are the experts in your business. You eat, drink, and breathe your niche 24/7, and all of your ads need to read like they were written by a subject matter expert. In other words, by a credible specialist your clients can trust.

YOU SHOULD BE AS PICKY ABOUT YOUR FACEBOOK AD COPY AS I AM ABOUT MY TEA. HERE’S WHY:

This is a $25 cup of matcha I drank in Bangkok.

koicha ceremonial matcha

koicha ceremonial matcha

A lot of work goes into making quality ceremonial matcha. It is made from the youngest tea leaves, from which stems and veins have been entirely removed.

The taste is smooth instead of bitter, so there’s no need to add sugar or syrup. This is not your Starbucks 50% sugar cup of matcha.

While it was definitely worth $25 for me, I wouldn’t have paid $20 for a cup of tea just to sit near the Eiffel Tower in Paris if I could have bought tea of the same quality for $2.

Same goes for hiring someone to run your ads: don’t hire an expensive ad writer just because they take a picture in front of a luxury car right next to the Eiffel Tower.

Hire someone who has a solid process to create a winning ad for you.
